EXPORT FINANCING

Export financing is a short-term working capital finance facility available to the exporters to meet their working capital requirements.

Types of Export Financing:

  1. Pre-shipment Financing
  2. Post-shipment Financing

Pre-shipment & Post shipment financing may be in the form of Packing Credit Loans, Pledge Loans, Export bill purchase, in either Rupees or foreign currency.

Sampath Bank offers Pre-shipment & Post-Shipment Financing to ensure that the export transactions are carried out as smoothly as possible.


Pre-shipment Financing

To meet the customer’s working capital requirements prior to the shipment of goods, Sampath bank provides Pre-shipment facilities against a confirmed export order/Documentary Credit from the buyer at very competitive rates for following purposes.

  • Purchase of Raw material
  • Processing/ Manufacturing of goods
  • Packaging
  • Warehousing

Post-shipment Financing

Post-shipment financing is a facility granted to an exporter after the shipment of goods, till the date of repatriation of the export proceeds. Sampath Bank offers Post shipment credit facilities against shipping documents and assists exporters with their working capital requirements between the period the goods are shipped, and export proceeds are received. eg: Export bill purchase
