This account continues to reward you, the more you save the higher the bonus you get (as depicted in the chart below). Existing Sampath Pubudu account holders can also benefit from this special scheme by graduating to the next highest balance slab. This account can be opened in the name of a minor by the parent or guardian.

Who are eligible?
Any Sri Lankan under 18 years of age.

How to open an Account:
- Duly completed mandate form.
- NIC of the parent or guardian & the original birth certificate of the child
- A minimum initial deposit of Rs. 100/ -

What are the benefits?
- 1 % above the prevailing normal savings interest.
- Bonus on interest will be paid for a period of one year on reaching the stipulated.
Account Balance slabs as follows:

Rs. 10,000    20% of interest paid for the month
Rs. 25,000    25%               - do -
Rs. 50,000    30%               - do -
Rs. 100,000 35%               - do -
Rs. 200,000 40%               - do -
Rs. 500,000 50%               - do -

- FREE “TILL” at the time of opening account.
- FREE School Bag with deposits of Rs. 5,000/=.
- FREE standing order facility only for Pubudu accounts.
- Deposit can be made from any of the Sampath Bank Branches.
- Gifts on first & fifth birthdays for those having balances of not less than Rs. 5000 and Rs.    15,000    respectively    provided the account has been opened within 3 months of the    child’s birth.
- Withdrawal of 50 % from the interest earned will be permitted under special circumstances       after the    12th Birthday to    be utilized for the benefit of the child against documentary    evidence acceptable to    the bank.
- Pubudu Gift Certificate:
  A complementary gift voucher given by the bank to parents of newborn children. The voucher   entitles   the bearer to   an initial deposit of Rs. 100/ - by the bank, when an account is   opened for the child.
